U.S. Senate hearing provides opportunity for discussing legislative and policy changes to address the epidemic of violence against Native women in the U.S.

U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs oversight hearing, “Native Women: Protecting, Shielding, and Safeguarding Our Sisters, Mothers, and Daughters” provides an opportunity for discussing legislative and policy changes to address the epidemic of violence against Native women. Tribal leaders and Native women’s advocates are encouraged to submit written testimony to the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs by July 28, 2011.
