Mahko is a member of the Fort Sill Apache Tribe; they graduated from Swarthmore College with High Honors and a BA in English in 2026. With several other tribal members, Mahko worked to create a pedagogical system to revitalize the Fort Sill Apache dialect. Mahko is especially interested in library work and ensuring community access to information.
