Assistant Project Operations Manager

Naiset Perez serves as the Assistant Project Operations Manager in the Washington, D.C. office. Naiset is of Maya Mam descent and hailing from a Guatemalan background, and she brings a strong commitment to Indigenous rights and transnational justice. She is especially interested in the intersections of Indigenous sovereignty, environmental justice, and international law. 

Naiset holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College in Geography and Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies. At Dartmouth, she co-founded the Central Americans United Student Association and organized with the Fuerza Farmworkers' Fund to support dairy farmworkers in the Upper Valley. Her research focused on Indigenous water governance, examining how legal pluralism operates in Bolivia and Aotearoa (New Zealand). Outside of work, she enjoys designing T-shirts using vinyl, and creating other handmade items, as well as caring for her plants.
