April 2026 - Indian Law Resource Center participates in the Free Land Camp in Brasília, Brasil
Indian Law Resource Center staff traveled to Brasília, Brasil to attend and participate in the 22nd Free Land Camp 2026 (known as "Acampamento Terra Livre" in Portuguese, or ATL). This annual gathering held between April 6-10, 2026 and organized by the Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (APIB) centered the protections for Indigenous lands and territories in Amazonia and was attended by thousands of Indigenous peoples. Chris Foley, Leo Crippa, Miranda Carman, and Kari Guajajara all represented the ILRC at the ATL by joining the march and demonstration. The ILRC team also had opportunities to meet with regional Indigenous leaders and partners.
